Lesi

Contrada Lesi, located in Bosco Chiesanuova, retains all the typical features of the early hamlets of the Lessinia region, dating back to ancient settlements between the 15th and 17th centuries. The rustic building, set within the context of the contrada, enjoys a splendid open view of the natural landscape and consists of two adjacent, now separate, units. The materials used are traditional to the Lessinia area: rustic plaster, Prun stone frames, a roof made of stone slabs, and spruce wood.

The project enters into a dialogue with the existing structure, bringing a contemporary use to historically rooted spaces: materials and construction techniques create a strong connection to local tradition, while the exposed systems give the domestic interiors a contemporary character.

The creation of new openings—conceived as “glimpses” of the landscape—highlights the influence the natural surroundings have had on material choices: spruce wood, lime-based plaster, cocciopesto flooring, and white Lessinia stone.
